2 lads from the federation had a road trip today. Karlos narrates with help from his fishing partner Drew .
Picked up a few worms the day and looked out over the bay in front of the shop and seen some serious water moving in, didnt know whether it was a good or bad sign but on we went to the golden miles. Plenty of surf up there too! 😳 1st cast waist deep and another wave hit and soaked me to the knickers, not a great start but stuck at it, big drew gets his 1st bass whilst actually targeting them, stunning fish of 53cm at a guess I'd say 4-5lb and half an hour later my rod tip gives a few wee nods then nothing so it was left for another 20 mins and still no more signs of life...until I started reeling in. Few more wee nods and dead weight... until it felt the sand on its belly and my shock leader knot sticks in my top eye, the fish gets its 2nd win and heads back to where it came from, I've never ran back up through the shallows as fast in my life, my 1st northern irish bass over 35cm, 55cm and real real chunky fish, both of them were around 14cm depth, 2 great fish and 2 happy chappies!
