Daiwa NIFSA shore league match day 5.
Venue: Carnlough
Weather: Muggy and still with occasional light shower.
Sea state: Fishing a full flood in very calm conditions. There was a heavy "gloop" of rotting weed in the bay which made going tough till the tide filled properly.
Species caught: lsd, flounder, plaice, codling, pollock, coalie and smooth hound.
Everybody was busting to get back match fishing and 38 of our 40 pre entries made an appearance.
The high numbers had the best of the fishing along with a better variety of species though dogs were spread fairly evenly along the venue once darkness fell.
Cash was paid to 4th place in both zones along with tackle sponsored by Daiwa for 5th and 6th place.
Longest fish winners got £38 each along with a prize sponsored by #hookpointmagazine Fishing Magazine.
