DAIWA SHORE LEAGUE MATCH DAY 5. CARNLOUGH 18:30-23:30
Fishing 4 hrs up and 1down. Weather calm and mild Sea state calm with quite a bit of weed in the lower pegs. Species caught: flounder, dogfish, codling, whiting and coalie.
This looked like it was going to be a busy evening with flounder caught within minutes of the start. However dusk brought a plague of micro white fish with most anglers pulling treble shots of codling, whiting and coalie many of which were barely 10cm and made a terrible mess of light rigs. Most anglers opted to fish for dogs by this stage however they weren't as thick on the ground as is usual for this venue.
Longest flat 31cm Jonny Gilbert Longest round 22cm tied between David Garvan and Paul Beggs.
