Our annual Cod hunt has ended with very slow results. Partly due to Covid but mainly due to having no Cod in the sea to target.
Cod hunt results.
This comp began on 6 December and was supposed to finish on 6 Feb but we extended it by a month due to lockdowns etc to give everyone a chance to take part.
Fifty-two anglers took part but only eight anglers registered a codling which may be down to lockdown restrictions but is also a bad indicator on the state of our current cod stocks.
