The NIFSA shore league was back in action this weekend. After the hammering we got on Benone last Sunday, anglers weren't keen to go back there so we opted to fish Cushendun.
Here's our recorders report.
Match day eight.
Venue: Cushendun 1700-2200
Tide/sea-state: Fished full flood on very calm water.
Weather: extremely muggy and settled for November.
Species caught: dogfish, flounder, rockling, coalie, codling, whiting and smelt.
Despite a fairly comprehensive list of species caught, this was a slow night for most anglers apart from Zone A winner Harry McKee who managed to stay on the flounder after he caught a couple of dogs early doors.
Zone A
1st Harry Mckee Sr 18 fish 543pts
2nd Gary Mccurry 5 fish 275pts
3rd Barry Platt 8 fish 195pts
ZONE B

2nd Paul Beggs 5 fish 142pts
3rd Christopher Mccook 3 fish 133pts

With one leg left to be fished at Ballyhornan Co.Down it's a dead tie for top spot with Drew Ferguson, Gareth Bell and Barry Platt all tied on 13pts.
