This weekend past saw the latest leg of our species hunt where anglers targeted a certain species over a 72hr period.
This weekend was a double header where we targeted both conger eels and three bearded rockling as they live in the same sort of habitat.
Despite little rain, there was a very blustery wind which created quite a significant swell particularly on North Coast venues, which as well as making rock marks a bit "hairy" to fish also increased tackle loses as the surge moved terminal gear around a lot dragging it into snags.
Fishing hasn't been great in N.I this Summer and the lads that managed to catch this weekend really had to work hard with a lot of venue changes and long waits for bites when they found somewhere fishable.
