We have started to get a few more rarer species on our shores this year and federation members have caught golden grey mullet and Gilthead bream on Waterfoot beach but if we get one of these on the measure rule it’ll be the stuff of nightmares.
This fish is found about 2.500 feet deep and found off the coasts of Australia and Tasmania. Yes, this fish looks as weird as hell, but in a comical sense. It has no muscle (so, will be awful to eat). It is just (almost) jelly and the interesting thing about that is that its jelly is less dense than the surrounding water. Therefore, this unusual fish comfortably floats just above the sea floor, and as it has no means to propel itself to move, it just floats and waits for food to drift by and into its mouth.
