Yesterday was leg 8 of our shore league sponsored by Daiwa. Here is our recorders report.
Venue: Benone
Tide/sea-state: Fished one hour down to low and four hours up on a moderate to light surf that was heavily weeded on some pegs but not on others.
Weather: Blustery with light showers
Species caught: flounder, turbot and bass.
This was a strange old day with many anglers catching straight from the off and a lot of us struggling all day with debris in the water which wasn't so much seaweed as leaves and grass which have been pushed down the rivers recently. However there were quite a few flatfish about and they were all in fat, healthy Autumn condition.

Cash was paid for 1st to 3rd as well as longest fish pools. Tackle will be awarded for 4th and 5th.
These results leave it tight at the top of our league with one match left in County Down before Christmas.
